Its hard to believe its almost spring, and actually it feels like it here in Colorado (minus the dry air...lol). I never throught I would say I miss the humidity. We've been battling colds, nothing too serious, but poor Will ended up in the ER a few weeks back with the Croup. Maggie and Mike seem to be the healthiest of the bunch.
We're planning a mini vacation to Winter Park this upcoming weekend for Spring Break. Gabby loves skiing and i'll try to get a few pics of her this time. I was so sick when we went to Breckenridge, it was hard to enjoy myself outside the hotel room. Lauren was not too fond of skiing, she has been having problems with her ankle. We're looking forward to enjoy so other outside winter sports along with sightseeing on our trip, maybe sledding and tubing?
I've been working at night, 2 12's/week in NICU, and its been an adjustment. Daycare is so expensive here, I try to work 2 days apart so I can try to sleep with Will at home. Speaking of Will, he's a busy boy. He's creeping everywhere and can crawl up the stairs in 30 sec...he's fast. It's hard to believe he is 11 mo old today, only 1 month from his 1st birthday :(
Gabby is preparing for her confirmation in April. She went on her retreat this past weekend in Estes Park, near the Rockies. She was accepted into Holy Family High School in the fall and is very excited! 8th grade was not as easy of a transition for her, unfortunately. She left behind so many close friends in Alabama, she has not found that here yet. But, we are hopeful she will have a wonderful high school experince and begin meeting new friends soon. Both the girls are playing volleyball at school and finished basketball. Gabby's team won 1st place championship in our league, and Lauren's team won 3rd place. Lauren has adjusted very well to the move. Like Gabby, she is really growing up and maturing so fast. Both the girls are such a huge help with the little ones and at home.
Miss Maggie is....well, Miss Maggie. She has been wanting more of mommy's attention lately, which I believe has to do with me working nights. When I'm home, she wants to snuggle with me and only me...."William, Daddy" as she says. We saw a new doctor in Colorado Springs and were really pleased with him. I'm working on a 2nd blog for Maggie to discuss her treatments and what we're doing for her. The biggest things are no milk, (which is hard since Maggie loves cheese), treating her gut for yeast and more labs. We are starting new therapy services and awaiting to acceptance for services with Imagine!
Mike loves his new job, and the travel is greatly reduced, which we all love. And, if all goes well...we should have our home in Alabama sold this week.....yeah!!! We are in a lease here until end of September, so we are looking around to see where we want to live or may even consider building.
That's all for know, I'm at work, and need to get back to work now. TTFN :)
